Eleanor Schimmel is a Philadelphia artist working in an unusual medium called encaustic. Our goal was a website that would let her work speak for itself: simple design, straightforward and easy to navigate, with no gimmicks. The simple design and dark grays and blacks emphasize the strong shapes and bold colors of her artwork.
